First day at ARCC

I was very excited for my first day of college. I left my house an hour early to make sure I knew where all my classes were and to make sure I got to my classes on time. As I pulled into the Anoka Ramsey Community College parking lot, it was crazy! There was absolutley no parking anywhere! Cars were waiting in lines just to get a parking spot. I drove around for 25 minutes before I found a parking spot that was all the way in the back. It was a warm, sunny August morning so I didn't mind. As I approached the doors, I was very nervous. Once I got into the school my nerves got alot better. I saw alot of people I had already knew from highschool lingering around the school. I had quite a hard time finding all my classes, but once I did the school was very easy to get around. I didn't like how small and tight all my classrooms felt, but that's what you get at a Community College. Overall my very first day ended up going alot smoother than I had pictured in my mind. As I walked the halls of the campus, it was very quiet and students were just trying to get from one class to another. It helped that I knew alot of people that attended the school but I cannot wait until I get to a University.

  1. Oh the joy of campus parking! What campus are you on? I originally went to the Cambridge campus and though that parking was bad. Not so much now that I am at Coon Rapids.

  2. The horrendous parking lot; I think it's a love/hate type of thing! It is always comforting seeing people you know. What University are you looking at attending? Thanks for the post.

  3. Agreeing with the above posters, the campus parking can be a nightmare.

Unless you've got night classes, then it's great. The downside is that almost nobody is there at night, so it's always empty.

  4. Grade: 8/10
    Mistakes
    • Missing hyphen: Anoka-Ramsey Community College
    • These words don't need to be capitalized because they're not proper nouns: community college, university X2
    • High school is two words

  5. Samantha,
Can you help me? I wanted to add a picture to my blog post newspaper article but I don't know how. I saw that you were able to put one up. Can you walk me through it? Thanks, Rosalie

  6. yes, all you do is save the picture you want to add to your computer, and then when you want to post it you click the picture icon in the textbox and choose a picture from your computer. Good luck!
