What I learned
I think that this class has definitely taught me that alot more goes on when journalist writes a story. I also learned that there are many different types of stories that journalist write. It all depends on what type of story you are trying to give the audience. I also learned that there are many different things you can or cannot say while writing stories, and details are everything!

Agreed, I can't believe how many errors I could make in a single sentence.
ReplyDeleteI agree Sammy. It's unbelievable how much you have to learn in order to be a journalist. I read over my stories so many times and went through to make sure I didn't have any mistakes and I still did every time. It's definitely a lot harder than I thought.
ReplyDeleteI agree as well, I would have never realized that AP style could lead to so many errors! I also had to re-read my stories constantly because I wanted to try my best to reduce errors.
ReplyDeleteAP style was hard to adjust to. And yeah, I didn't realize there were so many different types of stories that journalists write either.
ReplyDeleteHave an awesome summer!

ReplyDeleteI'm glad to hear that you've gained a respect for the journalism field, Samantha. While knowledge of AP style might not transfer into other careers, you can be sure that what you learned of good writing will.
